A Space draws on two pools: the models it can run against and the connectors whose tools its agents can call. Importing adds a reference to something you’ve already set up — your keys and credentials stay where they are.

Models

Import any model you’ve activated in the Model Master. The Space records a reference (in models.json) to the model; the provider key stays in your keychain and is never copied into the Space.
The model list is empty until you’ve added a provider and activated at least one model. See Bring your own key.

Connectors

Add any connector from your connector list. The Space records it in connectors.json as added but not authorized — importing brings the connector in, it doesn’t sign you in. You authorize it in the Space, and that Space keeps its own tokens in your keychain. So importing the same connector into two Spaces gives you two independent connections, which can point at two different accounts. See Connect a remote MCP server for the full flow. Built-in tools are always available without importing anything.

When to import

You can import during the create-a-space wizard or any time afterward from the Space’s model and connector pools. It’s skippable — add slots as your agents need them.
